Outstanding BC/BE Neonatologist Staff Relief/POOL Opportunity in Florida's Palm Beach CountyNicklaus Children's Health System and Nicklaus Children's Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the health system's physician-led multispecialty group practice, have an exceptional POOL/Staff Relief opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible (BC/BE) fellowship-trained neonatologist with a minimum of three years of experience (preferred) for an established and respected Level II NICU located in Palm Beach County.About the Neonatology OpportunityJoin a comprehensive perinatal and neonatal program for babies in a Level II NICU in a burgeoning market.  Applicants should possess a passion for advocacy and improving care for all children. The BC/BE neonatologists (3 years of experience highly preferred) will be responsible for:<ul><li>attending deliveries</li><li>3,000 + deliveries per year</li><li>providing prenatal consultations to high-risk babies</li><li>resuscitating and stabilizing newborns in the delivery room</li><li>rounding on well babies, as well as provide leadership, oversight and supervision in the Level II nursery</li><li>providing 15 days/month</li><li>Live within 30 miles of hospital</li></ul>Candidates should be proficient in:<ul><li>newborn resuscitation, including neonatal intubation</li><li>umbilical line placement and peripheral cannulation</li><li>lumbar punctures, etc.</li></ul>Nicklaus Children's neonatology program is consecutively ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
