PPG APP Leadership Coordinator
The APP Leadership Coordinator collaborates directly with the Medical Director of APPs and the APP Center for Professional Practice and Leadership Development. This role supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of leadership programming across the APP workforce at Parkview. The APP Leadership Coordinator is responsible for advancing professional growth through structured programs, such as the APP Lead curriculum, transition-to-practice education, and professional advancement initiatives. This individual proactively contributes ideas and content to support a strong leadership pipeline and engages APPs in continuous development opportunities.
Focus Area Expectations
1. Leadership Development & Strategy
* Develops and implements programming to support current and emerging APP leaders.
* Leads or assists in the creation and delivery of leadership education and professional development for APPs, including APP Leads and mentors.
* Partners with the Medical Director of APPs to align leadership initiatives with system priorities and APP advancement goals.
* Contributes to the development of the APP Professional Advancement Model and succession planning strategy. APP driven translational research, specifically for those who are interested in DNP work.
* Collaborates across departments to identify leadership needs and build tailored support for service lines.
2. Transition to Practice & Mentorship Support
* Enhances readiness and retention of APPs through early-career leadership exposure and support for emerging APP leaders through all career phases
* Supports onboarding programs and early career leadership opportunities through structured transition-to-practice initiatives.
* Partners with APP educators and service line leads to identify opportunities for APP engagement and growth.
* Acts as a liaison to the APP Executive Council and APP Leads to facilitate emerging leader identification.
3. Engagement & Professional Culture
* Promotes a culture of leadership, recognition, and continuous development.
* Proposes and implements new initiatives to enhance professional engagement across APP roles.
* Promotes collaboration among APP Leads, mentors, committees, and executive council participants.
* Participates in event planning, recognition efforts, and educational symposia relevant to APP development.
4. Administrative Leadership & Reporting
* Supports infrastructure for leadership development and reporting to APP administration.
* Tracks outcomes and metrics for leadership development initiatives.
* Provides regular updates to the Medical Director of APPs and collaborates on strategic reports.
* May serve on internal committees or workgroups aligned with APP leadership or development priorities.
Requirements
* Minimum of two 5 years of clinical experience as an APP within Parkview Health or equivalent.
* Demonstrated interest or experience in APP leadership, mentoring, or professional development.
* Three (3) letters of recommendation, including one from a direct leader or Medical Director of APPs.
* Maintains clinical performance standards of respective Service Line.
* Free of disciplinary action within the past two (2) years.
